Christmas Poster Workshop 2018
On 7th December the Big Data Analytics Research group gathered for its annual Poster Workshop and Christmas Lunch.
There were a total of seven posters presented to the group where research topics ranged from Deep Learning for offshore wind turbines and autonomous vehicles to medical imaging. New PhD students introduced themselves and their research projects to the group, whilst older students presented on research progress and latest paper submissions.
Students received plenty of feedback and questions from both peers and senior researchers of the department and during the break discussions about new research ideas and upcoming projects continued.
After the poster session, the group walked to a local restaurant for a Christmas dinner and crackers.
